Can't believe Christian Bale is in that film, he's a kid then and Batman now!

the weird thing is that when I first saw it a few years ago I wondered what that little boy would grow up to be like. Imagine my non-surprise when I saw Bale in American Psycho as a serial killer.

Danny Boy, film is awsome. Very long but it's Spielberg so what more can you say? Bit of a sad film all in all so not one for the, ahem, romantic nights in.

Yeah heard it was good stuff.

Might have to give it a watch one of these days.

I can't remember too much how the book ended, so probably still worth a look-see.

watched it when it 1st appeared and left an indelible mark on me. The other great period movie I enjoyed (many sleeps ago), was The Last Emperor by Bernado Bertolucci. Awesome epic and was smitten by Joan Chen too. My curiosity for the Far East took off from there on and look where I ended up.
