USD at 2.09 against the pound.
Very difficult market conditions.

When I married with wife last year, the gold price was 760 oz, it was the historic high at that time. For Chinese Wedding, we could get some gold necklaces, etc. Luckily, I haven't sold it. As I always believe that there are too many cash in this world. The government keeps on print the cash day by day. I can't figure out does they have any rules to print the cash now. (In the past, they printed the cash which related to the quantity of the gold they have)

It is only difficult market conditions if you are earning USD or have your currency linked/pegged against the shite USD

Which is everyone on this website.
The company did give me the option to switch to GBP income when it was USD2.05. I declined. It then dipped to 1.98. That said, you have enough worries in work without having to worry about your salary due to exchange rate. Besdides, its good for our biz if the dollar strengthens so i want to feel the same about my salary.
