Thaksin

I was walking though the Gateway centre in TST having come off the ferry from Zhuhai and i saw the former Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra sitting down to a coffee with four other thai nationals.

Given his states as former PM who is wanted for corruption charges and his financial wealth of + GBP 2 billion i was somewhat taken back by the lack of security.

My friend is designing a new house for him in Thailand. Obviously he is confident he will be returning at some time in the future.

My boss said on Saturday he saw Robert Mugabe in Gateway with a load of security.

A mate of mine flew in from the UK on Sat night - apparently Anelka was on the flight and got off in Dubai - anyone know why? shouldn't he have been turning out for Bolton?

I thought Thaksin's Mrs got arrested upon returning to Thailand.

If I was him, I would not bother going there until they had managed to overthrow the military control etc.

And by the way, this topic doesn't appear to be Spurs related !!
