What a day !

Had a 9am flight with Dragon air to Fuzhou. We board the plane on time, sit down and then the captain comes on to tell us China air traffic control have suspended flights ( I'm told due to military exercises along the east coast) so the flight is delayed until 12:30pm. Question to Dragon Air - why the *&^# have us sitting on the tarmac for 3 1/2 hours when we could have stayed in the lounge !!! Aaaargggghhh !!!

count yourself lucky you didn't take off and get shot down by one of the RAF!! That would've been reason to post a complaint

Has China appointed a king? Or even a queen?

If I see the RAF flying around on route back to HK tomorrow I shall be worried.

As someone who is not the easiest of flyers that sounds terrible. There was a similar incident about 15 or 20 years ago when a plane, flying from Dallas to somewhere was also stuck on the tarmac for hours. It was quite hot and the petrol and the fuel tanks expaneded slightly in the heat. Once the plane was clear for take off and in the air the tanks again started to expand before they finally exploded mid-air.

I don't think this can happen today but you never know...

I feel rough. Just got back. They kept us circling for about 30 minutes. Very turbulent. I HATE flying. Mr white knuckles.

You know it's gonna be a bad flight when the Captain asks the cabin crew to return to their seats.
