| Gattuso?
Yeah right. And Gomes is rubbish - ever since they took away his fishing rod and toadstool he has never been the same...

| Before AC Milan bought Flamini I would have agreed with you. However now that they have a surplus of midfielders, I'm starting to think it's not so far-fetched for Gattuso to come to Spurs.
Gomes is quality, and can only be a step-up to the tosh we've put up with this season.
I'd like to know who you think would be better, rather than just being scornful.

| Gomes Hutton + Woodgate + King (*perhaps, Carlos Cuellar) + Gilberto Capel + Modric + Gattuso + Bale Berba + Keane = Title challengers Otherwise, yes I do believe we can and will crack the top 4 cartel next season. ... and if we do that, it means we'll be good enough to achieve the crowning achievement of lifting the UEFA Cup in May 2009 also! COME ON YOU SPURS !

| No more thoughts on my article? Thought this would fire up some debate, if only mere agreement or disagreement. | |

| James, funnily enough I read an article on the old Hotspur magazine (April 2001 edition) just days before you posted your article.
The main article is "Keep the Faith on Hod". You may recall in 2001, we have beaten the Bluescum 5-1 in the semi final of the league cup but eventually lost to Blackburn in the final. You may also recall after losing the final, we then lost consecutive 0-4 to Bluescum in the league and FA Cup. We did pretty nothing in the league with the highlight being a 2-0 win against Fulham! We finished that season with a home win against Liverpool.
In more ways than one, this sounds remarkly similar to this season we are having. (5-1, mediocre league form after CCF, Liverpool at home for our last league game). Interestingly, both your article and the one in the magazine chose to look on the bright side!
