| http://www.spursodyssey.com/0708/veloso.html Transfer News - Spurs aiming high - now its Veloso? |
10 days ago, I told you that Luka Modric was likely to be just the first of many transfer acqusitions in a busy early summer for Spurs. Well, the rumour machine is hitting top speed yet again, as Spurs Odyssey understands that our representatives are en route to Portugal seeking a defenisve midfielder, also rated by no less than Sir Alex Ferguson. Whilst no names have been mentioned, some people are putting two and two together and whether or not it will add up correctly, we will wait and see, but Sporting's 21 year old defending star Miguel Luis Pinto Veloso could be the target. Veloso can play in the centre of defence or midfield. he has been a regular in the Sporting side for over a season now, and has 27 league appearances to his name this term, along with 5 full International caps for Portugal. It may all be pie in the sky, but one way or another high profile names such as Eto'o and David Villa are being linked with Spurs, Junde Ramos and his staff seem to be aiming high for next season! |
Never heard of him either.. I wonder whether that makes it any more likely then? ??

| Never heard of him. Mind you I'd never heard of Kaboul, KPB and Postiga and look what happened there! Er, hold on, that's not right.
Moving on. He looks like a blond haired Rino Gattuso. I know who I'd prefer in our team to frighten the zhit into opposing teams. The experienced, multi decorated Italian World Cup Winner.
Best leave it to Comolli though.

| I signed him on FM08 for my troublesome DM position and he's proving to be the bollocks.
And as we all know, Football Manager is what all good managers use to make their signings.

| Yep, rumour has it that it's the only resource Comolli uses to research his duds | |

| Hmm, maybe I should apply for his (Commoli's) job.
I'm sure you'd back me, ezza! (though you'd probably back just about anyone over him)
