first the pub quiz and now his no. 1 posting title, not wonder he's got an itchy scalp...must be from tearing his hair out in frustration

Dannyboy. There's a huge difference between friendly banter and repetitive wind ups. I have to say I nolonger enjoy the quiz evenings tas it's become too stressful, which is the last thing I'm looking for after work.

It was suppose to be about meeting up with friends after work, participating in a competitive quiz against other teams, not amongst ourselves. The banter has moved on to a different level. I'm fairly thick skinned and I certainly don't let it affect my friendship with anyone, however I prefer just to meet up after work for a few beers and chat these days.

Fair enough. Thought you were a fan of banter. It's just something to drop into conversation or posts briefly for a giggle. Hardly like it becomes a half-hour discussion. It's like the 'tackled by a girl' thing. We're not gonna bang on about it forever.

I don't mind banter and I take what I dish out. However the quiz wind ups are taking up too much of our conversation and in my opinion it's becoming a bit stale. You guys are all good mates who I particularly enjoy meeting regularly. I just feel in recent weeks we seem to spend all night chatting about the quiz evening rather than other interesting topics.
