| The rollercoaster ride goes on.... I hope that's not true, though it very well could be. | |

| Nah.
He hasn't done anything significant at Spurs to receive a call from a cash rich club like Chelsea. I like Jol - progress has been achieved under his management, however I don't rate him the same as 12 months ago. I could not pick fault 12 months ago but last season he showed he is only human afterall. Although he has done well, Spurs have spent a fair amount in the past few seasons so expectations deserve to be set high.
Chelsea won't touch him unless Spurs can start winning crunch games.

| I thought the article was linking him with Holland in 2008? | |

| It said either Chelsea or Holland.
Funny enough my Dutch colleagues don't rate Jol. Hasn't got a great reputation in Holland, or so I'm told.

It said Chelsea were looking at Van Basten to replace Mourinihio. Personally I think he feels he has a job to do at Spurs. If this season is a great success, he may feel as though he's made his point and is ready for "The Big Job' in Holland

| yes, MvB linked with Chelski. Jol linked with Holland, but so what? To managers know there's more going for them with big clubs than nations these days. Wouldnt read much into this, personally | |

| My mistake.
Agree though, wouldn't read much into this. If we get off to a bad start the rumours will start flying around Jol for the chop. If we finish 4th it will be Real Madrid.
Such is the status of the Premier League its arguable running a top club is a bigger job than manager of the national team.
Didn't see too many club managers queuing up for the England post.
