Work Pressure Empty
PostSubject: Work Pressure   Work Pressure EmptyFri Jun 15 2007, 16:25

What's the greatest pressure you have to face in your job?

For me, the greatest pressure is to meet billing targets. We have a 'billable hours target' which is around 6 hours per day. 'Billable' means things that you can charge a client for, like drafting advice, telephone calls, attending court etc. It is actually not easy to acheive the target because you can only charge a client for drafting a 1-page letter for 10 mins approximately. It is not likely that we can draft 100 letters a day...

My target for the first 11 months of this financial year is 95%, and I have to catch up the 5% in this month (meaning that I have to get 130-140% this month). The stupid thing is, I have spent most of my time this month working on some advice which are not very 'billable' and preparing for a seminar for next Wed which is 100% unbillable! That's mission impossible! Evil or Very Mad

Ok, rant over... Sad

the thing I like about pressure is that the hours fly by. I'd rather be pressured than bored. Enjoy it and remember - lunch is for wimps...

I agree. I've had not too much to do today and I'm bored out of my skull.
