We deserve a VICTORY~!!

IF Wenger keep to his promise of fielding the youngsters at WHL then Spurs ought to win. Big IF though.

"We have made decisions that will stand for the second leg. I'm convinced we can do it. We had to give a lot on Sunday at Burnley and had not recovered completely. But we still came back under difficult circumstances, which gives us confidence. They had more chances than we had, but when they scored we had a mental blow and struggled to recover from that. But for me it's a positive result." Wenger

Looks like he'll play his kids, but I reckons he'll have a few first teamers on the bench.

I feel like we've blown it. We should have won this one 3-0. Steed and Defoe missed sitters. Can see the gooners soaking up our pressure at the Lane and scoring a couple of times on the break. We had them today .... and should have finished them off.

was just sayin to myself that lee is having a game of his life. 2 mins later he gets a last ditch tackle only for it to rebound off walcott and into the net. why cudn't we get the rub of the green and it end up going wide or hitting the post.

anyway 1-1 away to the scum its still a good result wud have been better if defoe cud have done better with the goal at his mercy.

won't be able to catch the chelski or reading game as am off to milan for a week for work. does anyone know where i can catch the spurs games there in around the city. will def be back and catching up on the arse 2nd leg match. let's get everyone down for that as its gonna be a hell of a game.

also check this out its hilarious

Yes, Spurs should have won. Think everyone played well including Lee, who is one of the eight said to be facing Ramos' axe and who had Walcott to contend with.

Boateng coming on for Malbranque, I think, didn't work.

But the match shows we are closing the gap, as Ramos said. Based on the performance, and the fact that the return is at the Lane, I think a place in the final is ours to lose.

The best thing I saw in the match is that Spurs are playing Scum at their game. We defended high up the field, gave no room for their midfield to collect the ball and look up for passes, quick movement. Still think the last 25 minutes of the first half was our best display all season.

Call me a pessimist, but I'm very reluctant to talk about reaching the final. We've gotta beat the bar stewards to get there and 21 games in 9 years says we won't. And correct me if I'm wrong but haven't our better performances in recent years vs the Filth been better away then at home? The signs don't look good so I'm not getting carried away. The odds are stacked against us in the second leg.

Indeed. This reminds me of the 1987 League Cup Semi. We won 1-0 at the Library and were 1-0 up at HT at WHL. At HT, the loud speaker announced details for tickets for the final at Wembley. The Goons players heard this, went mad, scored 2 goals in the 2nd half to force a replay, which we lost 2-1 at WHL. The Goons went on to beat Liverpool 2-1 in the final.

I reckon we'll probably have a glory glory night on 22 January at WHL and beat the Goons 3-1. However, there is every likelihood that it could also be a typical Spurs fuck up, probably concede a last minute equaliser in extra time and then lose on penalties!!

I sheepishly admit that I did check flights on the Oasis website. I reckon it will cost around 400 quid return, leaving Friday night and returning Monday night, land HK Tuesday afternoon. Would need two days off work.

I don't think you can leave on Sunday night as the flight is at 8pm from Gatwick and you won't make it from Wembley to Gatwick in time, especially if there is extra time.

Anyway, why would you fly home to watch an Ar*enal v Chelski final?

Edman, when you say "delete" do you mean delete from the departure board or the radar? pale

yes, delate fr departure. i heard that they only have two 2nd hand plane, if anything wrong with the 1st one, u have to wait for at least 1-2 days for the 2nd plane to pick u up. they won't trf u to other airline unless the 3rd day.

but the good thing s they r very very cheap.

I think Edman means delay.

However, their reputation seems to be improving, helped by an expanding fleet of Boeing 747.

We didn't suffer any delay on our inbound or outbound flights.
