I need to buy a new camera. Where is the best place to buy one? Anyone know? I'm after a Canon Ixus or similar. Thanks awfully.

I agree. Yes, Fortress is slightly expensive compared to an independent retailer, however you know your getting what you pay for. My mates in the police force say they are often called out to intervene in disputes involving shoppers in small electronic stores.

He carries cameras too, i usually buy from him when one of my clients asks me to get a camera for them. He's several hundred $
cheaper than fortress / broadway and open to bargaining. he sells
with warranty etc so there's no dodgy business.

The guys in the camera shop first on the left as you go into Stanley Street know their cameras and are very competitively priced - happy to recommend them.
