Tottenham Hotspur have received an extra £500,000 due to Dean Marney's promotion with Hull City.
Following the success at Wembley, Hull City have had to pay an extra £500,000 to the half a million already paid for the former Spurs player following promotion. The total transfer fee now makes Dean Marney the second highest in the club's history, following the capture of Caleb Folan for £1.3 million.
Marney made eight appearances for Tottenham in the Premier League, scoring two goals, and the midfielder is relishing the chance to return to White Hart Lane after leaving them as a youngster.
The central midfielder is expected to be a vital part of Phil Brown's squad next season as Hull look to maintain their Premier League status.
I'm pleased for Dean Marney also. What a great night that was against Everton!
