| Good job, twiglet, we want a MASSIVE turnout for the Sunderland game to set things up for the season - the more fun people have first time out the more likely they are to come again. | |

| I'm in, but only if we have someone who is meant to play on the the left wing on the left wing. | |

| I've added a list of names in the first post. 12 so far, no Stew yet, and I'm sure there will be more who haven't posted on here. I'm working on a couple, including Ian. | |

| Ian is now confirmed for the Sunderland game and will be along this Saturday to warm the bench. We're gonna need a big bench! | |

| So is that delaney's for the first game? Count me in of course. There will at least be another 8-10 that are coming, that are not on SIHK at this moment. I will get Clare from Delaney's to reserve a few of those new 'high' tables in front of the screen then.

| can she reserve a decent discount too? Tables are great and that but money talks...
Clearly nothing has happened in this respect.

| I will try to be there, no promises though unfortunately, and as someone posted about a left winger I'll only go if Danny Murphy is given a go. He's a bell-en, whoops, legend he is. | |

| Daniel - it is happy hour - so you wont get a discount anyway - hence the cost issue went out the window for the first game. If you want food during the Sunderland game you can get 10% off. If you want to get a drink after happy hour it will be 10% off (I have an ABC discount card, Stew has a Spurs discount card)... that'll be $44 for a pint of Carlsberg after 9pm or about GBP2.75 - pretty good vs the average $50-60 around town during normal hours.
If we get a large number of people down then the consensus is we have more weight to argue for a bigger discount. But it would be the same in happy hour anyway as discounts don't apply apart from on food.

| Yes, that's correct Tottingham.
I think that if we have a good turn-out for that first 'happy hour' game, it will give us something to negotiate for better discounts with.
As previously mentioned, they are renovating the sports bar into a more 'sports' type of location with the level floor and higher tables. I was actually suggesting that we reserve an area. Otherwise we can spread out at the bar, but that doesn't always create the best atmosphere.

| Delaney's prices are okay ( ish ) providing they've improved on staff service. It ain't much cheaper else where unless you watch in bars offering special bottle beer offers. Is Delaney's showing the game this Saturday upstairs ? I'm not Paul's wife is gonna be happy with 20 of us arriving at their place to watch Now tv. | |

| Has anyone checked if Delaneys will allow us to hang our (rather large) flag? That is, of course, if it's ready on time.............. | |

| Delaney's has never had any problems with us hanging flags in the past (we had also hung a very large THFC HK St. George flag there before). I will check with them again though.
Should be upstairs and if it's on TV, yes they will be showing it - they've said so already.

| Stew, good thinking to "reserve" some of the tables up front at Del's for about 20 ppl. The sooner the better !

| I'll be there for sure. Looking forward to the start of the season, hopeful that we are no longer carrying egyptians on our books though.
Will actually be in london for the scum match in september. Would welcome any line that anyone has on tickets.

| I'll be there early if anyone fancies wetting the whistle before the game. Let's also hang up those flags!
Prior to that, I may have a happy hour at one of my regular Wanchai spots (Devil's Advocate).
