Fulham have increased their efforts to sign Tottenham striker Mido and hope to complete a deal in the next few weeks.
Mido, who joined from Roma for £4million last summer after impressing on loan, is no longer wanted at White Hart Lane and talks with Fulham have reached an advanced stage.
Manchester City came close to signing Mido in January, but their interest has cooled due to the uncertainty over the club's potential takeover.
Birmingham are also in the hunt, but Spurs' £4m asking price is currently more than they and Fulham are prepared to spend.
