Was wondering if there was anyway we could send our condolences to the Barton family at this time, especially poor Joey who could be losing some of his reputed 50k a week earnings.

Alternatively,

we could all laugh at that horrible little thug and be on the whole quite pleased for a change at the English judicial system, and here's hoping that 'shitcunt' stays in for the six months, and has as a cellmate an irate Man United fan with a penchant for buggery.

Hongkongyid, while we have your attention, and as has been mumurred here on the forum previously, a trip to Hebe Haven is well over due.

I'm a free man again after next Wednesday. So can we think about a weekend in the next fortnight (maybe the start of the EURO's?) for a special SiHK reunion / farewell dinner at yours?

Looking at the calendar, which of the 31st May, 7th or 14th of June works best for everyone. Let's try to combine it with one of Luca's matches for Croatia ! !!

For those of you that haven't lived in England for some time, it is unusual to get a prison sentence for a street fracas. What Barton actually did was kick one bloke to the ground and then stand over him and punch him over ten times. He also smashed a load of teeth out of a teenager's mouth. Very violent.

I hope Newcastle sack him, which they are perfectly entitled to do.
