| SEVILLE have entered the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Pascal Chimbonda.
Chelsea are already said to have had a £10million bid rejected by Spurs for the French full-back and UEFA Cup champions Seville are keen to land Chimbonda after he impressed for Tottenham against the Spanish side earlier in the competition.
Chimbonda joined Spurs from Wigan Athletic for £5million last summer.

| I've got a bad feeling about it though. Chimbo is not exactly Dawson when it comes to club loyalty. I hope Jol can convince him to stay. | |

| See now, I think he's very good going forward, but he worries me greatly when he gets isolated one-on-one, which will happen regularly with Lennon playing in front of him. I watched people get by him too easily down the outside, and it got worse as the season went on. He's good, but he's not great and if he went it wouldn't break my heart. | |

| Sorry James, I mean I think Liverpool will sign Alves! Not Chimbonda. And then Sevilla would then buy chimbonda.
But i think chimbs would prefer chelsea to sevilla.

| Although to complete ruin my theories there, didnt Finnan sign a new contract with Liverpool recently? Oh well. There goes that idea. | |

| I think its fair to say that Chimbo was one of our better players last season. For the sake of continuity and minimal disruption I'd like to keep him. We really need to hit the ground running when the season kicks off. That standing 10mill + is a lot of cash and if we do sell him I'd be much happier if he went abroad than to any of our premiership rivals. We need to send the message to all and sundry that we're not a club that can have palyers poached from. | |
