LUIS FIGO has dismissed press speculation that he wants to join Tottenham Hotspur.

The Inter Milan midfielder has claimed that he will only play in Europe for the Italian outfit and won't be playing his football in England of Portugal.

Figo was set for a move to Middle Eastern club Al-Ittihad but the deal fell through at the last minute and insists that there is no truth in the rumours that he could play for Spurs.

“There is no truth in this news,” Figo told the Nerazzurri website. “If I continue playing in Europe I will only do so for Inter.

“There is no possibility of me playing in England or Portugal,” added Figo.

As if he we would have him anyway. Way past it.

Indeed. Not our style of business, more a Big Sam deal.

Would be good to get another experienced player in though. An older head would have made a diffrence in some of the big games we had (3-3 with chelsea, when we were 1-0 vs arsenal, vs Sevilla) though i'm thinking more of a defensive midfielder/defender sense as oppose to a winger. Although wouldnt say no to Giggs mind.
