Having chatted about this on Saturday, we think that we really need to cap the maximum number of players. Since it's only 7-a-side, we can't really have more than about 11. It's too cold to stand around waiting to come on. And it would also be unfair to those who committed early to not get a decent run-out.

We propose then that we have 11 players for the 16th, with those who responded late as stand-by players, in case anyone drops out. I really hope that this does not cause any acrimony and it will be the first time that we've actually had to ask people not to play. I hope that the reasons are understood, and we can certainly give priority on the 23rd to those sitting out this time.

can I just raise my hand here and question the wisdom of having three subs. I think We need more players and I urge the managment to invite Edman and Hairy as team players not on stanby. I think Number 10 may be leading us down the path of 5-0 again.
