| and not one of us can really be bothered to talk about it. Is it Spurs fatigue or the curse of the modern game? I didn't think I would be so apathetic after a win | |

| I'm pretty happy.
There's always a difference on a monday when we win.
Even if its not a big win. I think its more relief than euphoria mind.

| I think that's my feeling, just quiet relief but even then it's hollow relief as all the teams around us also won so we are largley back to square one as it were. It's going to be make or break over the Christmas period... | |

| Its certainly not hollow relief. We'd have been really buggered if we hadn't won. | |

| it's hollow in so far as we are just keeping up with the rest. To be one game from the drop zone at this point in the season is appalling. JOL OUT | |

| I was thinking the same, interesting how there are loads of posts when we lose and not many when we win for a change! I think most of us are happy to sit back and enjoy the warm glow of a Tottenham win and Arsenal loss on the same day, the first time that has happened this season. As I said on the other post, I thought everybody battled well yesterday against a well-drilled City team. The only disappointment was Bent, but let's stick to the positives. The defence was generally solid, the midfield worked hard with Lennon and Steed supplying the flair and Berba was on form tormenting their defence. It will be an interesting game up there in the Cup. I reckon we can do them, but it might take extra time for us to do so. COYS! | |

| Im happy to quietly soak up the pleasure of a rare win.
Strong performance from Steed, Zokora, Berbatov and Kaboul.
Average from Dawson, Jenas ( just about ) and Pascal ( 2nd half - was rubbish 1st half )
Below par : YP Lee, Lennon ( doesn't get involved enough and crossing remains woeful and Bent.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I suppose there isn't much to say when we win aside from the "yays" and "woo hoos". Its defeat that creates all the talking points...

| Too knackered - the last 5 mins at Delaney's was the most tense I've experienced in a long while. | |

| Very true. The tension at Delaney's for the last 5 minutes are so high.
I think Lennon did well last night. He sent a couple of good and powerful crosses in but no one was on the receiving end. I am surprised to see him being taken off.
Like it or not, Steed is our best midfielder this season. His tackling and tracking back were so good last night. Thought Zokora had a good game defensively. Kaboul, Berbs and Lee were below par. Chimbonda did well in the 2nd half.

| I noticed at half time on the stats it showed that when we were attacking 24% of the time it was down the left, a ridiculous 60% down the middle and only 16% down the right... once that left back got a yellow card, combined with the threat that lennon poses, we should have been shifting everything down that right channel. We could have won that game a lot earlier (and been vs 10 men earlier too).
Apart from that and the inability to just run down the clock for 5 minutes in the opposition's half - I am just happy that we finally got 3 points, a quiet celebration only should be had cos there are two tough fixtures coming up and with other results going against us we could be in the mix again very soon.

| Yup - I feel the same as some of you i.e. relief about getting 3 points. Perhaps a bit fortunate too considering how Chimbonda scored. I am sure if we conceded the same fashion - we would have be gutted. Anyway - a win is a win and we needed some much needed good fortune. Even though I wasn't at Delaynes - I felt the same tension at the comfort of my lounge. I could barely watch the game each time City had a free kick or was attacking in the last 5 mins.... Phew thank goodness we survived !!!! Loving forward to the tram party gathering | |

| Told you we'd win, guys! I was a bit tiddly during the game, so I may need to rewatch on demand, but I didnt think Berba did much? Could well be wrong though. Pleased to see Kaboul have a much more assured game. Hopefully his confidence will build from that. | |

| No it doesn't. I did however nominate GDG for post of the year, one that cracked me up big time. Be interested to hear if other people remember the one I'm referring to on Saturday. | |
