Daniel Jarque is believed to have arrived in London last night to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old Espanyol defender has missed the last four matches because of a toe injury but is reported to be a target for Spurs boss Juande Ramos.
Jarque would become the first major signing for Ramos but if reports in The Times are to be believed, it would be the first of many.

Spurs and Arsenal go head to head to land Cameroon international
Arsenal and Tottenham are keeping tabs on Carlos Kameni's situation at Espanyol.
Both Premiership sides are keen on the Cameroon international, who has less than two years left on his existing deal.
Spanish newspaper DiarioSport says Espanyol will seek to secure Kameni to a new contract after the African Nations Cup but if a quick agreement cannot be reached they will sell him over the summer.
Kameni's current deal carries a £4 million buyout clause.

The Brazilian left back is out of contract in the summer and would be available on a free transfer. Manchester United have already registered their interest in the highly rated star but will now have to compete with Tottenham boss Juande Ranmos who wants him to form part of a new look defence at White Hart Lane.
