| With a trip to Wemberlee and an ongoing Wafer run, the cups look good, but what about the league?
Vote now.
FYI, we are currently on 27 points from 23 games.
Last season's final table was like this:

Yes, I'm being wildly optimistic. However, I think we'll get something vs ManU at the Lane as we've deserved to both games this season. Not too worried about Liverpool at WHL either. There are some trickier away games though, as you say, so my predictions are more realistic target results than dead certs.

No chance. We're a far better team than that, especially in the last few performances.

| As long as we finish above West Ham I'll be happy all things considered, especially with all the upheaval that's gone on, oh, and also I'll get a grand off my West Ham supporting mate, like I do every season. | |

| after last night's games - we're 8 points adrift of the spammers who have a game in hand, and only 8 points above the relegation zone... pompey are dropping like a stone, but if I was a betting man I'd change my vote from 7-10th... 11th looks like a tough ceiling to break. | |

| Ok, things are looking good. We've played 2 of the 5 trickiest games and got draws in them both (as predicted).
While, it's not the easiest run in the world, we no longer have to play any teams in the top 4. In fact we play 5 of the 6 teams who are immediately above us / top half (5th,7th,8th, 9th and 10th place), with three of those games at the Lane, possibly allowing us more leeway to close the points gap.
Without getting too carried away, I reckon we can still rack up a pretty reasonable points haul and finish in a very respectable position.

| Judging by the recent poll no-one predicts relegation, although three of us ( yes I'm one of them ) are sticking with a bottom half finish.
I still say the gap between 11th and 10th is too wide to bridge.
On the other hand the poll was compiled before the end of transfer window. I have been impressed with the signings and improvement under Ramos. What a pity he didn't join in August. I wonder if the outcry towards Jol's treatment deterred him ? Don't hear too many fans complaining of Jol departure now or Levy's decision to recruit Ramos.

| I still maintain 46 points and a bottom 6 finish. Obviously not relegation, but not too far off. In typical Spurs style we'll only get ourselves up for the big games - i.e. Cups. That's why we'll continue to drop many points in the league. In my humble opinion. | |

No one was complaining about those things Jezz - what people were complaining about, myself included, was the way Levy went about it. Your right - if Levy had had the balls to get Ramos at the right time - ie before the season started, things may well have looked a damm sight different now. Sorry to bite the bait and bring this one up again but you started it

Sorry to bite the bait and bring this one up again but you started it Twiglet - I disagree. Yes, some of the anger was reserved in the manner of Jol departure, however there were many fans who felt Jol had done a fantastic job taking us to consecutive 5th place in the league and should remain.

| Surely the machinations that forced him to leave began pretty much began after the 2nd game of the season...and therefore his postion was already at the point where it became untenable and he HAD to go because of the situation he'd been left in. That's what pissed a lot of people off.
We came off badly, it was mishandled and engineered in a way to force Jol out. But no point in harping on about it really.
It's not Ramos' fault, and he's an excellent manager and doing well in a club where, at the moment, he is being fully supported by the board inc. Commoli.

| That's a pretty good looking League run-in for us actually ...
Uno - Juande Ramos is slowly but fecking surely bringing in a level of consistency, supported by know-how and a meritocratic team selection every week. Dos - No-one bigger or uglier than us to to fear. Tres - Perfect to be playing 5 of the teams currently above us. Cuatro - And with an upcoming run of 3 wins + the massive self-belief that we'll generate after lifting The League and Wafer Cups and... Cinco - the team spirit is going to be on crack cocaine for the remainder until May.
I'm predicting a season of 2 halves for Spurs and lot of wins ahead with a final haul of around 56 points in the League. ..
Just try to think of a comparison with Liverpool for the past 3-4 years... Regulars in the bottom half starts for the 1st half of the season and strong 2nd half performances, leading to European qualification AND silverware in the cabinet.
