Spurs are on the way to HK Stadium

Subject: Spurs are on the way to HK Stadium Thu Mar 13 2008, 16:01

Acoording to newspaper, South China FC would like to invite 2 European teams to HK for friendly game in late May. Spurs is in very high possibility to come to HK as the chairman, Mr Law Kit Sing is also a yiddo.

If it is confirmed, no doubt we will contact South China FC to reserve tickets for SiHK and Spurs Supporters Club.

Cant wait to see Spurs in HK again~!! cheers

If it is 25 May, it will be an end of season game, rather than a pre-season game.

It would be superb if they came and brought the Carling Cup with them!

Nope. None of England, Ireland, Scotland, Finland, Bulgaria etc qualified. Also, neither Shimbomba nor Steeeed can get in th France squad.

This is a good thing in my opinion as all the players will be fresh and ready for Juande's intense pre-season programme.

That's why SCAA would like to invite Spurs as almost all of our players need not to join Euro2008.

They also locked 3 other targets, Juventus, Magpies and Pompey. SCAA will be divided in two teams and play friendly matches with two European teams on the same day.

I think we did a post-season game in Mauritius a couple of seasons ago, so there is a precedent.

I think Levy will want money, does SCAA have a lot of money to give to him to bring the team over?

I think if Spurs is coming over, HK will not be its only stop. Beijing has been mooted as one of the stops, and it won't surprise me if they also play games in Japan or Korea.

Difficult to see Spurs coming for a post-season tour of Asia. A one off game is feasible but not a whole tour surely? A pre-season tour of Asia much more viable. Whatever, I'm up for it whatever they do and wherever they go.

South China will play two matches in May. One against Spurs and one against Man City or Newcastle. It will be on 22 May (nighttime kickoff) or 25 May (daytime kickoff).
