| I'm struggling to narrow it down to three.
Joshua Tree - U2 Neverland - Nirvana The Bends - Radiohead Definitely Maybe - Oasis Appetite for Destruction - Guns 'n' Roses
Stone Roses is also a good shout.

| hmmm, as a complete body of work (no dodgy tracks thrown in) Top 5:
Primal Scream - Screamadelica The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses* A-Ha - Hunting High and Low Inspiral Carpets - The Beast Inside Masive Attack - Blue Lines
(If Greatest Hits albums counted then: The Smiths, Simon & Garfuncle, Frank Sinatra etc... would also be contenders but they have never produced one solid album without a few crap tracks)
*I will pretend that they didn't play Elephant Stone backwards for one track as it was arty shite!

| Agree with some of those as good shouts: Nevermind and Appetite are classics.
I like the no-dodgy tracks caveat.
Some of my choices would probably be less mainstream and very indicative of my age:
Dirt by Alice in Chains Ten by Pearl Jam August and everything after by Counting Crows Also Rage Against the Machine's eponymous debut Led Zeppelin IV Harvest by Neil Young
