I'm more convinced than ever Jol intends using King as a holding midfielder next season. Our pursuit of Davies.....lack of interest in a central midfielder......

Why else would you want to spend 16m on two centre halves to sit on the bench ?? We finished 5th and will do so again unless there is improvements to the first 11, not just squad.

Our defence was paper thin last season and requires some protection that it had when Carrick was in the side.

King to be played as a holding midfielder - you heard it hear first !!

Makes a lot of sense that. Cant help thinking though that Jol is putting King on the back burner. Dont think we really know the full extent of all his injury problems
