| Thought I would share this one with you. Recent email from Tottenham ...
Hi Stewart,
Rebecca was very complimentary about our fans in Hong Kong and I'm glad to hear that our support is strong and that you're interested in starting a supporter's club out there. My colleagues in the One Hotspur Members department will be in touch shortly to explain how you and your group can become official. It's a fairly straight forward process. We're always interested in getting more official clubs across the world so I hope you will take up the challenge! There are a range of set benefits and we are looking at introducing more going forward.
In the meantime, if I can be of any further help, please let me know.
With kind regards,
Fran Jones (Mr) Head of International Development Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Co. Ltd Bill Nicholson Way 748 High Road London N17 0AP

For the moment (and as I have always been), I am simply keeping my toe in the water. Stew.

| Don't hold your breath, Stew. I wrote to them immediately after the Soccer 7s and they promised me that they would send me the information by the ned of June as they were busy with new memberships in England. I followed up ata the end of July and they were very busy sorting out Arsenal tickets but would send me something by the end of the week.
And guess what? Nothing, nada. It's such a pathetic effort, Asia is supposed to be their prime target, yet they don't appear to give a toss and frankly I'm done with them before we even get going.

Yes, you're right. Best not get involved in anything legal. It'll only cause trouble.

| We discussed going official immediately after football 7's as a possible means to solidify the momentum obtained during that weekend.
THFC PLC had their chance and frankly speaking, let us and themselves down. They failed to act on a wonderful opportunity.
Sihk has emerged. Its got just about everything you could want - independent, well organised, free of officialdom and supports a superb community.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

personally I like things as they are Can't agree more. You are not assumed to criticize THFC policies if you go official? I prefer our current autonomy.
At least we, the Spurs Supporters' Club (Hong Kong) - www.spurs.hk have no plan to go official.

| Agreed with all the above, although with the proviso that I'm a newcomer.
No doubt if SiHK went official the club would try to oust our founding fathers and replace them with some fella from Spain!

I'm all in favour of an independent SIHK and maintaining our freedom of speach and our grass roots ... ENIC may arguably be the best owners we've had in a while, although likes of Kelmsley smell like all the other rats that have infested the Board Room of our great Club.
