| With the season more or less finished, I thought it was time for a full-on season poll.
Who is your player of the year?
I've made a shortlist of the likely candidates, keeping the nominations down to 8. A few are omitted for being either: a) shit this year [Lennon, Robbo]; b) shit in general [Dawson]; injured or rested too often [Bale, Bent, King, Tainio]; or d) a bit of a c**t [Chimbo]

| It's tough selecting between Steed and Robbie. Woody might have got my vote if he played in the first part of the season.

| Yes, I ummed and ahhed about including Hutton and Woody, but they've done more since January than many have done since august, so warrant inclusion on the shortlist (though in my opinion not the final vote) | |

I'll wait until the end of season!! This is the end of the season. As the Newcastle game shows, we've already finished.

| berbatov gets my vote. he's our most important player. we are lucky to have him fit for the entire season. i would never forget his cold-blooded penalty against chelsea in CCF and his well-taken volley against PSV. he didn't score as many spectacular goals as he did last season, but he kept us together in most of the games. since our central midfield has zero creativity, his dropping back help us to keep possession and push forward. | |

Japan (日本 Nihon or Nippon ? , officially 日本国 Nippon-koku (help·info) or Nihon-koku) is an island country in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of China, Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea in the south. The characters that make up Japan's name mean "sun-origin", which is why Japan is sometimes identified as the "Land of the Rising Sun". Japan comprises over 3,000 islands,[5] the largest of which are Honshū, Hokkaidō, Kyūshū and Shikoku, together accounting for 97% of land area. Most of the islands are mountainous, many volcanic; for example, Japan’s highest peak, Mount Fuji, is a volcano. Japan has the world's tenth largest population, with about 128 million people. The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes the capital city of Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the largest metropolitan area in the world, with over 30 million residents. Archaeological research indicates that people were living on the islands of Japan as early as the Upper Paleolithic period. The first written mention of Japan begins with brief appearances in Chinese history texts from the first century AD. Influence from the outside world followed by long periods of isolation has characterized Japan's history. Since adopting its constitution in 1947, Japan has maintained a unitary constitutional monarchy with an emperor and an elected parliament, the Diet. A major economic power,[6] Japan has the world's second largest economy by nominal GDP. It is a member of the United Nations, G8, G4, OECD and APEC, with the world's fifth largest defense budget. It is also the world's fourth largest exporter and sixth largest importer and a world leader in technology and machinery.

| Janek - stop treating Hong Kong like a hotel. You come here, drop your bags off, expect us to do your laundry while you galavant to BKK, Hanoi, Japan etc.
I'm sick of it.

| it was a tough choice between steed and robbie, both of whom have been our outstanding players of the year.
berbatov for me drifted out of games more often than not.
in the end steed got my vote, coz tho he may not have the mad skillz that robbie does, he plays with all all his heart and never throws hissy fits like some of his more illustrious colleagues. Robbie was a close close close second.
tho he does deserve a thrashing for going MIA in the penalty shootout.
