| - Spoiler:
Robbo had a shocker for England tonight. First goal conceded was awful mistake and the second was a long distance effort, the likes of which Robbo seems to let in with depressing regularity. No longer ENO and not really good enough for a side aspiring to be a top 4 team. Depressing wot!
Loads of empty seats at Wembley. Meaningless fixture so early in the season.

I do think Robbo's standards have slipped somewhat.

| Rather worrying that James is probably considered as number 2 - a sad state of affairs. | |

| Not what we need just before playing Man U away. At least Keane had a good game. | |

Time to give Cerny a chance. Robbo has seemed to of lost his form for sometime now in both England and Tottenham shirts. Stew.

| A shame. He was probably our best player, after Carrick, back in 05'06. | |

| Robbo was at fault for the first goal, but I think he could do nothing about the second goal which was a piledriver into the top corner from 25 yards.
Unfortunately for him, he seems to perform badly in those high profile games so that his mistakes were highlighted.
Eg. England v Croatia England v Germany
In our Lasagna-gate year: Spurs v Arsenal (flapping at a cross which Pires scored) Spurs v Man U (Unable to hold on to the ball which Man U scored)

| Robbo's take on this week's events (as reported in the Daily Heil):
"I'm very disappointed with what's been happening at the club. To see how far MJ has taken the club and the strides he has taken, to then go behind his back to seek other options is very disappointing because the manager has got the full support of the players. It's very difficult for him because of what he has done. We are 100 per cent behind and we all hope he stays as long as possible. It's known throughout the club how the players feel. To question somebody's job after three games of the season is ridiculous, especially after what the man has done for the past two years. We've started the season better than Manchester United, we are above them in the League. Nobody is questioning Sir Alex Ferguson, so why should our manager be questioned? We have a large squad of players and not all of them are playing. It's very difficult to keep everyone happy but the majority of us are behind the manager. It's difficult not be unsettled (by this). We see the TV and papers like everyone and it's disappointing when you see how settled we have been for the past three seasons."
So that's Robbo, Keane and Bent who have all publicly backed BMJ in the last week.
Talk is cheap, let your performance on Sunday do the talking for you boys.

| I like the way he goes from "everyone is behind MJ " to " majority of us".
So who isn't behind him Robbo ?

| The most disappointing fact is that I dont think Robbo has been aware of the fundamental problem. I remembered reading an Guardian article last year which basically criticised the poor positioning of Robbo. Bec of his poor positioning, he has to rely on specticular catch to save the shot. U dont normally see ppl like Cech doing this frequently bec of his good positioning...And reading his feedback after all these mistakes make me think that he is not aware about having basic mistake... | |

| For me, give Cerny his chance on Sunday. How many howlers is Jol gonna let him make before acting?
And another thing - Im fed up of people trying to hide behind Man U as an excuse for our shit start to the season?

Lets face it - they have the ability to go on and win their next 10 games - frankly, we dont.

| Agree.
Plus Man Utd have played well, despite losing / drawing.
We didn't play against Sunderland or Everton - period.

Agree, Robbo doesn't seem to recognize the gravity of the situation. his formed has sadly but gradually slumped over the past 2 seasons... I hate see to see this happen as I can still clearly remember his FANTASTIC saves for us over the past 5 years. I think Robbo needs to benched for a few matches, get himself fitter and loose some weight and get back his focus and concentration.... it's probably the best medicine at the moment. Still love ya Robbo, but it's for the best mate... after all, how many of us have become stronger and better as a result of struggling your way back from a major kick in the cojones ! !!

But in fairness, no matter how biaised our view, Cech has a completely different quality of defence and midfield in front of him...
