| Just had a look at the HKSpurs forum. They seem to have so many players (more than 15 but closer to 20 I think). | |

| Does that allow them to use subs ? I'm gonna see if I can sort myself out with a pair of Edgar Davids glasses. A little apprehensive wearing regular glasses for a competitive game but I can't see anything without them on. I'm told I'm one of the few that cannot use contact lens. Annoying. I have a spare ball - will bring it along so we can use it during warm up. | |

| Dannyboy - as a young 24 yrs old I think you should sign a 5 year deal just in case you turn out to be good ! Would hate to see you go on a Bosman. | |

| Sorry boys but I tried my best to make one of the teams this weekend but will be unable to attend as I have a jammed up workload and a couple of meetings. If I get time, I will pop down to Al's Diner and join you for a beer though.
By the way, a couple of years ago I managed to put together a Spurs Supporters team and we played the Chelsea fans (I didn't actually play though). Spurs beat Chelski 1-0 that day with Clive Slattery scoring the winning goal for Tottenham. That was also at Happy Valley. My idea is that you guys use this weekend as a practice session as well and then pick a good first 11. Therefafter I can try and arrange a rematch against Chelski of Hong Kong - don't worry they are pants! I did also in the past try and arrange matches against Arsenil and West Sham. West Sham couldn't put a team together and Arsenil bottled out at the last minute (typical!).

| Funny, I was thinking of trying to organise games against supporters from other clubs off the back of this, but you beat me to it. I guess we should see how awful we are this weekend before jumping the gun, but it might be fun in the future to do battle with the enemy. | |

Spur'don, I think thats taking wishful thinking to a whole new level. So from what I can see so far we're playing like this a sort of 3-1-2-1-1? Hairy DannyBoy - Ezza - Wigan's Finest GDG Chris Paul James N17 James Subs: spur'don Supersub Ozpur

| That line-up should strike terror in the hearts of the SpursHK lads - we've virtually got it wrapped up before we even take to the pitch. That and the totalled football. | |

| Sub sounds about right for me. Actually I'm still wondering whether I should play; not over keen on playing with glasses and can't see much without. I'll come along anyway and assess the situation on the night. Tried to buy some sporting goggles tonight. Found one shop - damn expensive. | |

| Sorry spur'don, its only the bench as you were the last to join the team. It'll be rolling subs anyway I'll hardly last 45 minutes let alone 90, and I'm the youngest! | |

| GDG, I think its pretty solid. Anchor man in midfield, tricky barmby esque playmaker and two solid midfielders, and our own "fox-in-the-box" in James.
Defence we have the give-no-quarter tackling of ezza, the cultured defence of daniel (our King to Ezza's Dawson) and then the Erik Thorsvedt of Gibralatar in goal.
Magic stuff. | |

| Are we happy with the numbers we have, or are we looking to bring in a couple of ringers to bolster the defence/midfield/forwards? | |

| Mind you if its 7 a side, two others will join super sub Ozpur and Spur'don on the sidelines, it remains to be seen how the pitch is etc. | |

| Frankly speaking, given how the professionals struggled at the HK 7's with 7 minutes each way I'd be surprised if many of us could last 90 minutes. I last played a few years ago in a game organised by the HK spurs group. I was a regular at gym so fitness wasn't too bad either but running around outside in humid conditions is a different ball game. Just focus on the beer at the end of the game........... | |

| We play 80 minutes every Monday in DB, admittedly on a smaller pitch but it's a very competitive match and we all get by ok. Make sure you have enough fluid - water and Gatorade or Pocari Sweat. | |

| Jesus. I am going to die. Been trying to play squash regularly the last 6 weeks but obviously not this week due to back. But otherwise due to a low cash flow (and not being arsed to barter with the cnuts at california), i've not joined the gym, so physical condition is by no means at its optimum. Worried about crashing and burning after 20 mins now | |

| I think "ringers" might be handy...
Although if 7 a side, we'd have 4 on the bench and that might be ok?

| Yeah its just a bit of fun.
Talking of gym, what price did California quote ya ? When I joined a few years back I managed to negotiate a price of $350 per month.
California is handy for me as it's sort of on the way home. The closest Physical gym is located in TST. Some of my colleagues are paying just $200 per month.

| They didn't quote me spur'don as I haven't passed by yet put off by the two things i mentioned.
Really broke at the moment and unfortunatly its a good friend's birthday so I need to fork out for a decent present and there's no way I'll be able to not go out. Although at least this isnt till the 1st July.
The other thing is i have heard prices from 400 down to 200 HK$ quoted as deals got by friends, or the same service.
Apparently ever hour you bargain knocked the price down by 50. Just sounds like a shabby way of doing things.

| I often use the public facilities. The sports ground / facilities in Sai Kung are more than adequate and cost next to nothing. Worth checking if there is something similar in Wan Chai. | |

I didn't ask my friend to come since we have Spur'don coming in. I am sure we'll be fine. If we struggle, we will just park a bus in front of our goal and wait for penalties. I did ask my fiancee to come and get some snapshots of the game.
