Big Night Out????

Still no posts this morning - must have been quite a night :-)

since we didn't even leave the ground til 1130, it was pretty late. A couple of us trickled out the Derby about 2am. What about the hardcore? How many more 'one for road' were there?

Jezza, Paul GDG and I stayed for another one. I ran out of money (just the taxi fare) so had to leave Paul and Jezza to it. Great night out guys (and gals)

Paul and I left at 3am. Wasn't too heavy a night - we didn't start drinking until just before 12am. No silly shots or cocktails either.

Really enjoyable night - look forward to a few more of those.

yeah - the drinking was relatively light this time, probably due to the fact we lost our undefeated record... but today has been a long day for me... walked home from the derby and by the time I got into bed it was exactly 3 hours until my little one awoke. Been trying to get 10 mins power naps every couple of hours! looking forward to a looooooooooong kip tonight. good evening again - despite the result!

Relatively light? I caught the 2.30am ferry and was pickled! No hangover this am though and they let me lie in till 8.45 so I'm feeling pretty good. Shame I lost the dressing room last night though.

I still wanna know who logged out in the dressing room - I was concerned that I'd wake up without the skin on the soles of me feet this morning

How Christian Gross was that? Nearly as bad as listening to a couple of the lads humming along to Rick Astley in The Derby.

Not mixing drinks does make a massive difference.

GDG - I like your style though. Went something like - "I'm feeling absolutely pastered......come on, we're staying for more ".

I have to make the most of my rare forays back into the drinking world, the problem being that my tolerance levels are very low so I'm hammered after about 3 pints.

but think of the money you can save.

Poor old Dannyboy has to get up for a second helping at 7:30am !!

I do notice the older i get the harder it becomes to shake off a hangover....and as a result I tend to try to avoid them. Doesn't always work though !

Sorry I didn't even show for the drinks. Got massively delayed on shit and my biz meeting went on until the early hours in Lockhart Road (no shit!). These last 2 weeks have been a nightmare. Should be more free by next week, so will hopefully join for one of Jez's midweek beers!

I went to have a hotpot supper with Ellen and my sister Lilian after we left early. Went to bed at 3am. Then played 70 mins on a full sized pitch in a quarter final of the Old Boys Cup at my college at noon. NOON!!

No problem James. Although I think I'm going to hold off writing the match report until they are so at least I can have some semblance of accuracy in what I type, memory is a little blurred due to rather heavy drinking in an attempt to forget my poor performance and conspicuous lack of a tap-in.

I'm tired coz after five hours sleep on Saturday night I sat up and watched The Open till its conclusion last night, thus giving me less than four hours sleep again. Stupid? Moi?

Did get to see the Korea v Iran game though, with its exciting penalty shoot out conclusion. I'd like to see them try the format they use at the Soccer 7s, whereby they gradually reduce the number of players on the pitch rather than go to penalties - would make for a very exciting finish.
