| Seems as though there is a massive difference of opinion Jeffrey, BMJ goes for Jenas, commentators go for Steed, personally, and yes it was only Derby but my man of the match is Big Tone, he had a superb game. Anyone else agree? | |

| Thudd, ran the midfield which is where we have been sorely lacking, nearly every ball he played found a forward and caused trouble in Derby's defence. Our defence looked better but Derby were woeful. | |

| I'd go for THudd as MotM. How my mood has improved since 7 days ago | |

| I'll have to say Steed Malbranque. Thud controlled the midfield but those 2 early goals just completely lifted all the anxiety and nerves everybody had. In just those few minutes, everything changed; too early to say for the season but everybody connected with Spurs needed that breathing space. I thought Bent played very well and was as selfless and a team player as a great forward should be. | |

| Central midfield - Jenas and Hudd deserve special praise.
There was balance to this side.

| I think Routledge also had a good game and made a big difference. Having Lee back in the team made the back row look alot more stable. | |

| I would choose Malbranque also, though JJ is okay this match
As said above, Malbranque make the team relax after the first goal in the match, he is a reli consistent player in Spurs now, JJ is also ok, but I think that he is not that kind of player, can't handle the pressure well, always think that he is another "Gerrard" in Spurs. And also, I think Thudd is okay this match, industrious enough, just don't know why Jol still use JJ as his first choose, I would prefer Thudd and Zokora in the match vs ManU, as they are strong enough to do defensive work to against MANu.
Malbranque is becoming an influential player now, and I have an instinct that Bale will also be a legend for spurs, I believe.....
Also, what's your opinion in taarbat? I feel that he is a good player as he can hold the ball and protect the ball not to be stolen, but a bit selfish, should be a decent LM sub., if Matt Taylor could not come to Spurs by transfer deadline...

| There was no particular outstanding player aside from Steed, but I thought Wayne and Y.P. Lee had good games.

| Thudd is my MOM.
Controlled the midfield with good control and sublime passes. So much more comfortable on the ball on Zokora.
Jenas, Malbranque and Lee also had good games.

| Defence can't really get any credit for this game - Derby offered nuffink. But thought Rocha was the best of the defence bunch for me. Def good to have a left back and a right back.
MOTM was def between Steed, Hud and JJ... again their game was made easy - but I'd give my vote to Steed just for the two goals. JJ's game worked becoz he had Hud behind him, that was the discovery of the game - a potential central midfield partnership, although Hud at times (as well as JJ) needs to play those great passes a second early to catch "better" teams out.

| I loved Steed - he has taken a lot of crap from our supporters yet is getting back to his best - he was awesome at Fulham before his injury and looks to be regaining his form. JJ and Hudd also worked brilliantly. But I'm going for Jimmy Tarbuck - such an exciting player. | |
